Job Description
Developer or Senior Developer working on Dealer to Client Trading of government and credit bonds and swaps, vanilla FX products and Money Markets Deposits and Loans- A new Quoting and Price Generation platform is being developed covering all of the above products- The role is a development role working on one or more of the components of this new platform- Current priorities include Dealer Intervention and Quote Rule components-
Requirements
Solid development of vanilla server-side OO Java development - Multithreading, OO, distributed computing - Not EJB or Web RDBMS Experience - Sybase and/or Oracle Development experience on a large complex codebase Application development involving an understanding of the user domain, rather than just implementing technical solutions- Real-time experience Proven interest in financial products Agile experience Additional Useful Skills: Fixed Income or FX or Money Markets Electronic Trading Improving development practices for team as a whole Experience working with an offshore team Oracle Coherence distributed cache component Experience of developing GUIs in either Java or C# C# JUnit Ant/Ivy or Maven build systems
Responsibilities
Centralised Pricing is a global, high performance, real-time, pricing and electronic trading system for Interest Rate Swaps, Government and Corporate bonds, Money Markets, FX, Credit Derivatives, Commercial Paper, Loans and Emerging markets- Centralised Pricing has enabled RBS to become a market leader within this Electronic Trading space- A global but London centred team of 80 develops and supports Centralised Pricing- Centralised Pricing is Java server side, C# GUI and Sybase and Oracle databases-
