Requirements
Specific business knowledge & technical knowledge required include . · Knowledge of the delivery of infrastructure products and services to Application Delivery functions, including strong generalist infrastructure knowledge within the Equities arena- · Good understanding of infrastructure technologies with in depth expertise in one or more of Unix (Solaris), Linux (Red Hat) or Windows servers; Oracle, Sybase or MSSQL Databases; Java Application Servers; Payments or Messaging Middleware; SAN Storage; Market Data solutions; WAN and LAN Networking; Grid or High-Performance Computing (HPC); or Information Security- · Strong programme and project management expertise and discipline with respect to infrastructure and Equities Business process project delivery to major business projects and programmes- Prince II preferred- · 5+ years experience of a similar senior position within a banking environment- Other skills that would be useful in undertaking this role . · Relationship Management · Presentation Skills · Project Accounting Skills
Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for . · Representing Equities for the project delivery for the resilience programme"- Delivering full Disaster Recovery/BCP capabilities for the Equities business, estimated budget £8m · Collaborating with the customer, Infrastructure Delivery Managers and IS&C to understand the business impact, success criteria, priorities, dependencies, expectations and commitments- · Defining, documenting and overseeing detailed plans to ensure all business processes and infrastructure dependencies have been covered, in co-operation with the IS&C, application development and business stakeholders · Tracking, reporting, escalating and communicating progress, risks, issues, costs- · Demonstrating new systems/services meet production standards, and plans have been agreed for addressing any new technology risks or changes to existing support models; or obtaining waivers for exceptions as necessary- · Managing the delivery of multiple streams within the project in parallel- · Collaborating with overseas teams and RBS Group Technology where appropriate-
