Job Description
Background
Sun Life Direct are a direct to consumer business who sell affordable and accessible protection and savings products direct to those within the UK mass market. We are one of the most experienced direct marketing companies in the life assurance sector and currently hold the largest share of the over 50 whole of life market.  

This fantastic new role sits within our Operations function and is responsible for managing the contractual and group outsourcing governance of a broad portfolio of over 30 Third Party Relationships for Sun Life Direct


    The role
    • To manage the key events detailed within each contract ensuring they occur as and when required for all supplier and corporate partner relations in order to ensure SLD remains both compliant and commercial
    • To manage all contractual requirements and changes, ensuring they are documented and approved by the relevant parties in order to ensure all contracts remain up to date and all emerging risks are mitigated contractually
    • Thoroughly review renewal and termination terms in plenty of time, providing guidance and best practise advise to relationship managers and external parties and escalating any business risks appropriately
    • To own and maintain the management of the library of all contractual documents associated with Sun Life Direct suppliers and 3rd party relationships in order to provide a clear reference point for all external parties and ensure quick resolution to queries and escalations
    • Establish, develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external business partners and stakeholders, including legal, risk, procurement and the Corporate Partner team in order to ensure the smooth operation of efficient processes To ensure all contract management is carried out and recorded in accordance with AXA's Group Outsourcing Risk Policy and 3rd Party Management Process 
    • Provide technical advice to key projects and partner tenders for Sun Life Direct to optimise the efficiency of the contracting process and ensure that all key risks are contractually mitigated


      Skills, knowledge and behaviour
      • Proven experience in a similar contract management role
      • Competent at managing multiple supplier and partner due diligence and contract set ups , controlling the governance framework
      • Legal training / expertise/knowledge would be highly desirable
      • Understanding of contractual terms, obligations and potential risks
      • Excellent organisational ability
      • Consistent attention to detail
      • Understanding of Group Outsourcing Risk Policy and 3PM (preferred)
      • Broad-based understanding of Financial Services and the business environment
      • Good knowledge of the vendor services market
      • Strong commercial and negotiation awareness
      • Tenacity
      • Strong influencing skills
