- Responsible for setting out approach to design reviews and running reviews
- Assures key programme products (requirements and designs) through either subject matter expertise or more generic coherence check
- Links with PMO to manage the Risk engagement to ensure the solution operates within balanced objectives of Customer experience and Risk appetite
- Manages day-to-day stakeholder interactions
- Ensures Design Authority processes are fit-for-purpose and up-to-date
- Participates in or runs Change Request process and impact assessments to ensure telephony transformation aims and benefits are met
- Own delegated elements of the detailed business solution, operating model and strategic roadmap of the Telephony Transformation Programme
- Ensure that the strategy and roadmap developed aligns with other change initiatives across the group and manage any dependencies identified
- Understand and aggregate the Business Unit visions and requirements, translating these into a clear Release Strategy
- Lead areas of the Design Authority function for the Programme, resolving alignment issues and ensuring the integrity of the business solution
- Lead specific workstream decision making with a broad range of Business and support SMEs (Direct Channels, UK Retail, Product , Marketing, Strategy & Architecture and Technology Services), resolving design issues and gaining solution acceptance
- Support the change control process for the programme including recommendations of impact assessment for progress and escalation
- Identify cross-divisional integration points for future deliverables that create commercial value, engaging with business areas to agree a roadmap for delivery
- Manage definition and maintenance of the Target Architecture models relevant to the programme scope for Business Operations, Organisation and IT (Applications and Technical Infrastructure), including transitional states
- Define the new standards and skill requirements of the new operating model, ensuring an effective transition from the 'old' to the 'new' world through each phase of the project
- Support the Head of TT DA in ensuring integrity of the end-to-end solution is maintained throughout the development lifecycle-
Responsibilities Key responsibilities of the role are:- - Delivery of Requirements to agreed time, cost, scope and quality
- Implementation of Design Authority processes
- Effective management/influence of senior channel stakeholders in the design and delivery of fit for purpose business requirements - clarifying where co-existence and channel differences are acceptable
- Responsible for effective 'Design Authority' and 'Change Request' functions that keep the wider programme aligned
- Delivery and execution of effective utilisation of customer-centric design methods, e-g- customer journey design, prototyping, usability testing to increase the confidence of accurate build requirements
- Responsible for working prototypes (produced by prototyping teams) of planned deliverables that aid staff and customer testing, increase confidence in build requirements and support Stakeholder management / engagement as necessary
- Responsible for documented standards and skill requirements for the new Business Operating Model throughout the various Project phases
- Responsible for the production and maintenance of programme build logic

- Ability to translate business issues/challenges into effective programme solutions
- Ability to balance solution versus delivery demands
- Strong commercial awareness
- Demonstrable track record of senior stakeholder management
- Negotiation/Mediation skills
- Has worked within a formal design methodology (e-g- TOGAF, Systems Engineering etc)
- Programme delivery experience from either a customer (specifying requirements) or delivery (meeting requirements) perspective

Technical Knowledge
- An understanding of the effect of technology development on the Retail customer proposition and Business Services processes
- Demonstrates hybrid skills in joining Information Technology and Retail Commercial solutions
- Strong knowledge of risk and regulation requirements
- General knowledge and understanding of the Telephony channel would be an advantage although not a
People Management
- The role currently has no line management responsibility
- Maintain effective communication channels with end users
- Matrix management of cross divisional teams as necessary
Financial Management - Provide input into the development of business cases and business requirements
