Based in our offices in either Bristol or Basingstoke ; we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Test Manager to help us shape our future capabilities.
The role
Leading a team of 5; your role as our Technical Test Manager will be to take ownership for all our Non Functional testing and test automation across our Wealth business. This is a key role for us as we drive our Technical Testing strategy and regression automation strategies forward. You will be expected to provide strong leadership to the technical testing team, providing mentoring and support where required and may involve some hands on involvement. Key to any Test Management role will be your ability to manage senior stakeholders and the ability to articulate Technical Testing to a non-technical audience. You and your team will be instrumental in setting up the appropriate tools and embedding a comprehensive suite of Automation and Regression packs.
Skills, knowledge and behaviour
Candidates will be expected to demonstrate: - Extensive Test Management experience with an expert knowledge of using test tools - eg Quality Center / Microsoft Test Manager .
- Expert knowledge of automated testing tools (eg QTP/Coded UI)) and performance tools - Loadrunner / Visual Studio (TFS).
- Experience in implementing test automation frameworks
- Experience in vulnerability and security testing would be an advantage
- Full line management experience.
- Good working knowledge of agile or waterfall methodologies (preferably both)
- ISEB Practitioner certification preferred or a willingness to obtain.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- A high level of methodical thinking and attention to detail.
- A positive work ethos with a high level of flexibility.
- Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels.
Candidate with experience of using the AXE automation framework will be of particular interest
