An exciting opportunity for a Technical Accounting Manager in Bromley, t o provide technical accounting interpretations of new international accounting standards- To review statutory and regulatory returns from a technical viewpoint to ensure that all standards are complied with- Responsibilities The role is responsible for providing accounting advice in respect of IFRS developments on statutory accounts, and FSA and other regulatory developments- The successful applicant is required to assess the impact of statutory and regulatory changes on RBS Insurance and ensure any statutory and regulatory outputs are fully compliant with IFRS and regulatory rules- Also you will be expected to be involved and participate in debates with regulatory bodies on accounting developments, coordination of responses to exposure drafts either directly or via Group and running working groups where there is a significant impact on the business of these- The role will also involve work on ad hoc projects- The Individual Technical Knowledge: - Financial reporting background including good knowledge of accounts prepared in accordance with IFRS- Insurance experience and FSA regulatory reporting knowledge would be an advantage-
