We have an opportunity for a Team Trading Manager within our Leeds Commercial Branch. As part of this role; you will lead, manage and develop your team to optimise relationships with brokers and achieve agreed new business and renewal targets, in relation to a designated panel of brokers. You will be a team player, motivating your team to create a dynamic and a pro-active trading culture. The role - Leading and motivating a team to deliver New Business and Renewal Targets.
- Interacting with brokers and working with our Distribution team to build relationships with our Customers.
- Instilling a high performance culture and developing people through identification and organisation of appropriate training and an effective performance management process, including observation opportunities.
- Assisting with the creation/implementation of local and centrally run campaigns within own team and across the area.
- Agreeing and monitoring work productivity targets for the team relative to top line performance.
- Ensuring that all work within the team is completed in line with best practice and adhering to all legal and FSA requirements.
- Assisting the area management team with New Business and retention initiatives.
- Identifying and agreeing the underwriting standards for team members, within agreed parameters
- Monitoring and reviewing work outputs and performance in order to understand the needs of the business/customer.
- Assisting with the creation/implementation of local and centrally run strategies.
- Reviewing processes within the team to be as effective and efficient as possible.
- Leading the team to deliver exceptional customer service i.e. by doing what we say we will do, by when and delivering on time, encouraging everyone to pick up the phone to build relationships and trust.
Skills, knowledge and behaviour - Progress towards ACII/Qualified ACII.
- Experience within a Sales environment, ideally gained within a fast-paced, Commercial Sector
- Leadership and team building skills.
- Commercial Product Knowledge.
- Front line customer experience.
- Experience of setting financial targets/ KPIs.
- People Management experience.
- Awareness of service standards and business processes for the role.
- Drive to achieve performance targets.
- Experience of managing and analysing data.
