Job Description
Prophet is a sub-ledger for Equities business, comprising of Equity Derivatives, Cash Equities and Securities Finance- It provides reconciliation (including adjustments posting), consolidation and Cartesis mapping processes as well as enables creation of reports and extracts- Facilites of Prophet are used by Trade Control, Product Control and Finance Control within Equities business primarily for trades booked for London entity-
Prophet is a two-tier Client Server Application- Most of the business logic is implemented using stored procedures on Microsoft SQL Server 2005- The client side of Prophet consists of a Visual Basic application-
Requirements
· Experience with SQL and VB · Equities experience · IT related Degree or relevant technology experience · Basic knowledge of Finance Systems and Architecture Additional Useful Skills: · Experience with Unix, RDBMS, Oracle, Sybase, Java
Responsibilities
2 support analysts are required to assist the team in resolution of technical issues, customer liaison, and general support administration- Deliverables to include: High percentage of technical issues resolved at first & second line level- Strengthening team relationship with user base- Support of application change - whether driven from internal, or external factors-
