Futures Production Operate Team function and responsibilities · The team is responsible for supporting, maintaining and enhancing the global technology platforms underpinning the Futures business within Global Banking and Markets (GBM)- The platforms are a mixture of in-house developed and 3 rd party systems- · The team operates a "follow the sun" support model , this is further backed up by the Development teams who operate a 24*7 third line support rota- · The team can assist the business on client pitches and general visits - providing technical information- · The team can also assist technical client on-boarding across the Futures platforms- Closing Date: 3 rd March 2010
Job Description Team Structure · The LOFT STMF (Short Term Markets and Financing Technology) Production Operate team works closely with the Front office and Operational teams providing front to back office application support and, in certain cases, some incremental development- · The team is geographically spread across Tokyo, Singapore, London, Greenwich, and Chicago and will continue to expand into other regions as the business grows- · The team operates alongside the Development teams, who are predominantly based in London and India- · The team is split into Futures, Prime-Brokerage and Repo- This role is within the Futures Production Operate team- · Futures Production Operate is divided into Execution, Clearing and Settlements sub-teams- Requirements Business knowledge · Futures Business and systems knowledge with a strong understanding of the trade life cycle- · Investment banking experience- Technical knowledge · Microsoft technologies- Windows servers- Windows based systems- · MS SQL 2000,2005- · Oracle/Java would be and advantage but not mandatory- · FTP / SFTP / PGP / TCP-IP based technologies- Additional Useful Skills: · Rolfe and Nolan use · Business Objects use · Cognos use Responsibilities Role specific responsibilities · Day to day support of Futures Settlements systems- These are a mixture of in-house and 3 rd party systems- · Prompt communication with Futures Operations and other GBM IT teams concerning the daily support, performance and management of Futures Settlements systems- · 3 rd Party Vendor management and liaison where necessary- · Review and assess support queries/issues from multiple sources and allocate time/prioritise accordingly, recording issues, time-spent and resolution details accurately in the production support system- · Delivery of mandatory upgrades driven by 3 rd party vendors, GBM IT Infrastructure and other GBM Teams- · Liaison with external clients during the on-boarding process and ongoing support of electronic customers- · Follow the processes of Production Support in GBM IT using Change Requests, Incident Reports and Work flow management systems- · Manage small projects and deliveries relating to the Production Support space - when required- · Indentify recurrent issues and document solutions and fixes for the benefit of the team- The Individual · Hard-working team player with ability to communicate effectively across geographical and operational boundaries- · Able to operate efficiently under pressure and trouble shoot problems on the spot- · Motivated by 'delivery' and prepared to take ownership of issues- · Strong analytical/logical approach to systems development and support- · Good Interpersonal, communication and presentation skills- · Good organisation, planning and time management skills- · High level of attention to detail coupled with good energy levels-
