Job Description
eFlex and UK Corporate Technology develop and maintain a large number of both tactical and strategic systems, predominantly for UK Corporate Banking- The systems are mainly intranet-based, and our customers span many areas of the business, for example, Business & Commercial, Corporates, Trustee & Depository Services, Change Management, Finance, Marketing- As part of a drive to deliver as much of the development and support activity as possible from low-cost locations (i-e- India), several new customer liaison roles have been created, into which we are looking to place a number of forward-thinking, highly skilled and multi-talented individuals to be based near the business in the UK- Whilst the primary responsibility will be customer liaison, we anticipate these people will be involved at all stages during the project lifecycle-
Requirements
· Experience of full IT project management lifecycle · Experience in a customer-facing role- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills · Experience in a development role or supervising technical teams- Desired technical skills: C#/ASP-NET, Oracle PL/SQL, UNIX/Shell scripting, BusinessObjects · Experience of working with remote delivery teams Additional Useful Skills: · MS Project · MS Office inc- Powerpoint and Visio · TOAD · Relational database design skills or data warehousing/MI experience
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: · Customer Liaison - providing advice and IT experience to the business, project initiation, reporting, problem management, attendance at business meetings and governance boards · Business analysis, scoping and estimation · Engagement of the India-based project team(s) · Quality review of deliverables (requirements, tech spec, usability, code, systems and enhancements) and walk-thrus with the business- Ensuring that deliverables meet the business needs- · Provide back-up technical support to the India-based team(s) - therefore, advanced development skillset required · Some elements of budgeting and financial management Mentoring the India-based team(s) on business knowledge and understanding These positions would appeal to anyone wanting a varied role, with exposure to lots of different business areas, and may particularly suit senior technical people, with good business and presentation skills, looking to establish themselves in IT management-
