Job Description This is a Sourcing Group Specialist position based in Group Sourcing & Vendor Management (GS&VM)- GS&VM has an enormous impact on the Group, including a tangible impact on the cost-income ratio- Working with our business partners in all divisions, we select, manage and develop the supply base to ensure that the current and future purchasing needs of the entire Group are delivered, irrespective of location or brand- We provide support, guidance and advice to all divisions on all purchasing related matters and deliver value and commercial benefit to our partners and our customers through innovative sourcing and supplier management- Our team deploys a professional approach and a range of techniques from Strategic Commodity Reviews to Supplier Performance Assessment to eSourcing (auctioning) in order to maximise supplier performance and leverage the full scope and scale of the Group's operations- Corporate responsibility, regulatory and business continuity objectives are integral to our approach- This role spans both facilities and property sourcing- Property includes capital projects including consultants, contractors and products and all other property related needs primarily for Property Services- Facilities includes management services including cleaning, catering, furniture, electronic and manned security, data centre infrastructure and services; signage, fixtures and fittings and energy and utilities- Purpose of the role An expert purchasing professional with an in-depth understanding of strategic sourcing and supplier management, this individual is responsible for devising, developing and implementing tailored procurement strategies and procedures and also for providing senior level guidance group-wide- Deliverables: - Management of identified categories of spend in the Property and Facilities Sourcing teams, including Repairs and Maintenance and Construction-
- Driving sourcing and vendor management initiatives to deliver P&L and added value benefits for Business Units and the Group-
- Developing robust 3-5 year Sourcing Group Strategies (with Business Partner input) to cover key categories, detailing strategic options and opportunities to deliver value to the Group in the longer-term-
- Understanding of dependencies across Property and Facilities categories and ensuring increased co-operation and co-ordination between categories and teams on a global basis-
- Developing effective relationships with key stakeholders, across businesses and geographies-
- Development of effective supplier relationships and ensuring implementation of effective Vendor Management practices in conjunction with Business Partners
- Preparing business cases for major contracts and ensuring sign-off in accordance with internal processes-
- Development of robust and appropriate contracts including liaison with specialists across businesses to ensure compliance to Group policies
The Individual Experience: - Significant purchasing and relevant sourcing and vendor management experience-
- Strong relationship management skills, ideally with experience of Property Projects and / or within a Facilities Management related environment
- Ideally with relevant post-graduate or professional qualifications (e-g- CIPS)-
- Proven track record in project management and delivery-
- Significant experience of influencing internally and externally at all levels-
People Management: - The individual will be required to lead, manage, motivate and co-ordinate cross-functional teams, often with no direct authority over a significant number of the key stakeholders and team members-
