Job Description Purpose Of The Role: An expert purchasing professional with an in-depth understanding of strategic sourcing and supplier management, this individual is responsible for devising, developing and implementing tailored procurement strategies and procedures and also for providing senior level guidance group-wide- Deliverables: By direct involvement and through the management of a team: · Management of an identified category spend of c- £60m+ within the Resources Team- The Resources Team manages all categories related to Temporary and Permanent Recruitment- · Driving purchasing initiatives to deliver P&L and added value benefits for Business Units and the Group- · Developing robust 3-5 year Sourcing Group Strategies (with Business Partner input) to cover key categories, detailing strategic options and opportunities to deliver value to the Group in the longer-term- · Ensuring increased co-operation and co-ordination between categories / teams, including on an international basis- · Developing effective relationships with key stakeholders, (including categories with multiple Business Partner contacts) · Ensuring implementation of effective Key Vendor Management practices in conjunction with Business Partners · Preparing business cases for major contracts and ensuring sign-off in accordance with internal processes- · Understanding & remaining up to date with current employment legislation and its impact on sourcing strategy within the Resources Category Requirements Experience: · Significant purchasing and relevant resources/recruitment sourcing experience- · Graduate calibre and/or qualified by experience, ideally with relevant post-graduate or professional qualifications (e- g- CIPS)- · Proven track record in project management and delivery- · Significant experience of influencing internally and externally at all levels- Other: · Ability to demonstrate commercial acumen- · Flexibility, willingness and ability to adapt to change- · Persuasive presenter, facilitator and negotiator with the ability to influence to support the achievement of Group Sourcing & Vendor Management objectives- Responsibilities People Management: · Will be required to lead, manage, motivate and co-ordinate cross-functional teams, often with no direct authority over a significant number of the key stakeholders and team members- Financial Management: · Approval for contract signature up to £0- 5m
