Job Description
Background
We are currently looking to recruit a Service Desk Analyst in to our Finance Central Services team to support the Finance systems transversally.  This role is for an initial 3 months on a fixed-term basis with AXA.

    The role
The successful candidate will provide support to our core Finance systems and primarily this will consist of:
    • Managing relationships with key external and internal suppliers

    • Ensuring service delivery is to an expected standard and that the third-parties are aware of their responsibilities

    • Manage incidents to escalation or completion

    • Co-ordinating month-end from a systems perspective to ensure all systems are available for this period

    • Reviewing processes, particularly on our legacy systems and suggesting improvements

    • Managing own workload proactively

You will need to be able to grasp an overview of the total Finance estate however there will not be direct responsibility for specific systems.  You will primarily provide 2nd line support, escalating problems as required.  There is also the potentiall to be involved in developing SLAs with the various suppliers who currently operate on an informal standards basis.   You may also be involved in some change management project work though this will form a small part of the role and will focus on minor upgrades to systems.

      Skills, knowledge and behaviour
From a technical perspective, you will ideally have operated in a similar environment and certainly within a complex systems environment.  It is likely you will have an ITIL foundation though we would also be keen to hear from people who may have worked in an ITIL-focussed environment but who may not have formal training - you will need to demonstrate a solid understanding of the key principles though.

Its likely you may be in an existing 2nd line support role or be a senior 1st level operative.

Of utmost importance is the ability to communicate across a broad spectrum of people - technical vs non-technical; business vs suppliers; junior colleagues vs senior directors - and grasp the issues affecting them at the relevant level.  Commercially you will have a solid understanding of the role that systems play in ensuring an organisation can function fully and more specifically return a profit.

Highly organised and with a strong focus on customer needs you will be able to hit the ground running in a role that gives alot of autonomy and the chance to make a difference in a busy department.

What will you get from this role?
This is a direct contract so during your time with AXA you will receive the following benefits:
      • Annual Bonus Scheme - Up to 20%
      • Competitive Pension Scheme
      • Life Assurance - A lump sum benefit of 4 x gross basic annual salary
      • Child Care Voucher Scheme
      • Interest Free Travel Loans
      • Annual Holiday - 25 Days
