Background An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen to join the Provider Account Team as a Senior Provider Account Manager. Your role will be to manage the provider team and to deliver the company healthcare provider strategy objectives by managing the relationships, negotiations and contracting with healthcare providers. The role On a day to day basis you will: Develop and maintain relations with healthcare providers across the UK e.g hospitals, NHS and Groups. You will be building effective relationships with key providers to enable the implementation of new strategies and initiatives. Managing the Provider Account Team including developing, appraising and coaching team members. Negotiating with providers within cost control guidelines. Implementing and reviewing contractual arrangements with healthcare providers. Using financial modelling techniques to assess, review and implement change with providers Financial Analysis: review and implementing change with providers Work with the team in the development and implementation of strategy to ensure effective implementation of quality and claims cost management. Making sure contractual arrangements are in place. Carrying out audits. Implementation of projects to ensure they are delivered on time and in budget. Develop the business making sure, contracting activity is developed, opportunities targeted, researched, tenders completed. Building strategy and lead its implementation. Skills, knowledge and behaviour Key Skills: People Management Relationship Management Numerate and Analytical - procurement and statistical analysis Superior Organisational skills Clinical background beneficial but not essential. Additional Information This role is a key function within the business as the team are the key holders for claims spend. This role is high profile, challenging, interesting and varied.
