| Overview Of Department The newly created Corporate Risk Solutions Team has been set up to re-energise Aviva’s proposition for insuring large corporate clients in the UK . The team consists of three key areas – Corporate Risk Solutions Trading ( CRS ), the National & European Property Owners Team (NEPOT) and a Broker Relationship team. Headed by Paul Sullivan, CRS is structured according to each insurance class – Liability, Property, Motor and Construction. Based in London the team offers support to Corporate Risk brokers and clients through a dedicated teams including trading, servicing and Claims. The Property team looks to write the insurances for UK based companies with a turnover of £100M and/or £100k premiums and above. The Property Underwriting Manager will work alongside the other Property Underwriting Managers in the team and under the supervision of the Senior Property Underwriting Manager. About The Role Salary – £50,000 - £75,000 depending on experience The Property Underwriting Manager will be aligned to Corporate Risk Brokers to trade commercial property business within agreed underwriting authority. They will deal with large and complex property insurance programmes and this will involve face to face negotiation with aligned brokers on renewals and quotations to provide flexible and tailored solutions to brokers and customer needs. They will also carry out a proactive role in developing broker accounts, including prospecting, with the support of the Broker Relationship team. The Property Underwriting Manager will build relationships internally with the central Underwriting teams and with Claims, Product Management, Reinsurance and Legal. The role will be performance driven, in respect of GWP, and COR. The successful applicant will be expected to coach and develop other less experienced member of the team and the members of the CRS Servicing Team in Southend. The role offers the opportunity for career progression within the Aviva Group.
