Job Description
The UK & Ireland , Information Security Manager will be responsible for managing a high performing team of Information Security specialists and analysts- The team will provide advisory, consultancy and delivery services to the divisions in order to improve the security control environment and minimise the risk and impact of information security threats and vulnerabilities-
Requirements
Skills - Proven experience in leading a team of Information Security Specialist
- Management of an Information Security or IT related team
- Influencing at senior organisational levels, up to and including, Executive level
- Working with a broad range of business units across the RBS Group divisions
- Experience in driving change
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Ability to write technical issues in business terms
- Experience of a Security and Risk function
- Good understanding and proven track record of working in Information Security and within a technology service provider within the Financial Services industry
- Relevant Information Security or technical qualifications
- In-depth IT and Information Security knowledge and experience
Responsibilities
- Delivering a high quality service that is consistent with global requirements
- Build strong relationships with divisions in order to identify issues and drive Information Security compliance
- Develop a thorough understanding of divisional business, systems and processes in order to provide tailored Information Security solutions and services
- Manage and prioritise the Information Security work stack for the division and allocate work appropriately to Information Security specialists and analysts whilst minimising impact or disruption to divisions and achieving UK & Ireland region objectives
- Implement effective processes to manage and measure team delivery and performance
- Identify current risk position for divisions, identifying potential exposures and drive actions to address or mitigate Information Security risk
