We are seeking a Senior Fund Analyst to be a key member in our Global Fund Selection Team, part of the Global Multi Manager division within Santander Asset Management. The ideal candidate will be based in London, reporting directly to the Head of Fund selection in Madrid.
The candidate's primary field of responsibility will be the coverage of US & EM Fixed Income funds encompassing the monitoring, analysis, selection and recommendation of qualified managers for inclusion onto the Global Focus List of Grupo Santander. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of peers within this particular asset class and beyond (coverage might extend beyond this particular asset class depending on the evolution of our clients' needs)

As a Senior Fund Analyst your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Working knowledge of Spanish
- Significant experience in Fund Selection with a top tier firm, focusing on Fixed Income
- Extensive knowledge of peers within this particular asset class and beyond (coverage might extend beyond this particular asset class depending on the evolution of our clients' needs)
- Emerging markets experience is essential
- Expert in Fixed income selecting 3rd party funds
- Previous experience in Fund selection and asset management experience is essential
- Multimanager background, long only founds
- Intimate knowledge of all relevant quantitative techniques, statistical analysis and peer analysis
- Experience in qualitative due diligence and deep knowledge of asset management companies and key investment professionals
- Experience in direct investment is a plus
- Experience in managing junior staff
- Deep understanding of capital markets, financial instruments and macro economic drivers
As a Senior Fund Analyst your main responsibilities will involve:
- Covering of US & EM Fixed Income funds encompassing the monitoring, analysis, selection and recommendation of qualified managers for inclusion onto the Global Focus List of Grupo Santander
- Managing and supervision of more junior staff and helping coach them in the best practices of fund selection
- Analytical reporting
Location: London
Salary: up to £85,000
