Your exceptionally analytical mind will guide you in researching and understanding a range of industry wide trends, including competitor strategies and performances, share price performance and other commercial trends. This thorough knowledge will enable you to develop high level planning and forecasting models to support Executive level discussions regarding short and longer term financial plans. These findings will be regularly presented to your seniors and will support them in their decision-making - including materials for the CEO / CFO for meetings with institutional investors and equity analysts. Experience in managing external relationships as well as those around you is a must, as you'll need to uphold and maintain relations with external stakeholders as well as Santander Group Investor Relations regularly to ensure all quarterly reporting responsibilities are met and all relations with external parties are effectively maintained.
Other analytical foci fall within budgetary requirements; forecasting and developing a 3-year plan that challenges business assumptions and yet again clearly articulates details of business plans to Senior Management.
As our ideal candidate you will have exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. With strong communication skills you will be comfortable communicating at all levels and possess the necessary influencing and negotiation skills to manage relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally. Your communicative ability will further be tested in preparing external reporting documents for quarterly trading updates, investor presentations, and supporting the Group in developing such reports on Santander's performance. This will involve managing relations with credit rating agencies, including managing the annual review process. As a self-motivated individual you will also be keen to progress your career in a positive and challenging environment.
