Job Description RBS has a new role in our Corporate Security Services Division based in Edinburgh for a Senior Forensic Analyst- This is an opportunity for the successful individual to be at the leading edge of information security technologies and innovative practice at RBS as the role holder will support the global computer investigations and digital forensic capability for our Information Security Division- The Senior Forensic Analyst will be responsible for completing forensic investigations in accordance with RBS Group processes, regulations, laws and evidence requirements, and also for providing forensic support into investigations of fraud, staff misuse and other breaches of RBS Group policy- This may require the individual to provide forensics support to other areas including Group Investigations, Human Resources and Executive level support on sensitive and time critical investigations- Responsibilities The Senior Forensics Analyst will be required to support the Forensics Specialists in providing input to maintain and develop the capability for forensic capture and analysis-?They will be required to assess the criticality of forensics incidents in order to escalate to the Senior Penetration Testing and Forensics Manager as appropriate-?Other requirements are to provide support and guidance in technical aspects of investigations being undertaken by more junior analysts- The role holder will also be required to support the team in dealing with fraudulent and hostile third party websites and providing ad-hoc specialist information security input from a threat management perspective- The Individual The successful individual should have previous experience of performing computer forensic activities, ideally in a Financial Services organisation, and have general information security experience- Technically, the individual will have, or be working towards, industry relevant qualifications and have a working knowledge of Internet/Web Security technologies, in particular, IP Networks, Java, Web application security, email, middleware, and authentication and encryption-
