Requirements
Business Knowledge . Proven track record of development and design work in the IT industry . Ideal 5+ years experience in a financial environment (preferably interest rate derivatives), although willing to also consider candidates with less business knowledge if Technical experience is very strong and there is a desire to learn the business- . Proven record of successful project delivery Technical knowledge · C# >2 years · C++, COM, or Java > 5 years · Soap/Web services Additional Useful Skills: · Java, corba · TDD, Agile methodologies, Nunit, Grid Technologies, OO design, subversion, fisheye, JIRA
Responsibilities
Team Function & responsibilities · Delivering innovative client side solutions to the Options and Exotics Front Office and associated sales and structuring teams in V*Opt, the strategic global Pricing and Trade Capture platform which is written in C#- · Introduction of new instruments and pricing models to a rapidly evolving business- · Integrating V*Opt with other strategic initiatives to deliver scenario level risk and pricing strategies to match the rapidly changing business environment · Provide high visibility second line support to the EMEA business users during normal business hours- · Build strong business-IT relationships with the Options & Exotics business · Liaise with key service providers and quant development teams to deliver coordinated solutions Role specific · Focus on key areas in the existing Volume Options system which have been identified for extension, enhancement or redesign- Propose technical design, prototype, demo, implement, test, and deliver to Production- · General performance improvements for pricing/generating instruments in the GUI- · Refactor and redesign existing GUI components to better fit inside the services layers where applicable- · Focus on unit testing wherever possible to reduce technical debt · Provide information and mentoring of all solutions to the QA and Support functions
