Purpose of Role

This is an exciting opportunity, within the Business & Commercial Sales Support analysis team, likely to appeal to an experienced data analyst who enjoys problem solving and wishes to add a high profile project to their career resume-   Through the application of robust data analysis, we will support Business and Commercial (B&C) plans for the RBS divesture providing a central hub of customer data and specialist analytical advice-

 

You will work with the Analysis team management and collaborate with other Business & Commercial teams contributing significantly to the delivery of Project objectives-


    Job Description

    Business & Commercial will be required to divest itself of a significant portion of its customer-base as part of the Group's restructuring programme-   The role is to work alongside the other members of the analysis team to accomplish these Project objectives without disruption to other internal clients' analytical requirements- You will work in an expert analytical role to deliver agreed objectives and contribute to planning for the successful accomplishment of the project requirements-

    You will play a significant role in the delivery of the project's data and analysis requirements, in particular supporting the customer, people and property work-streams including:

    • Scenario planning and impact assessments on the composition of the B&C hierarchy and customer-base
    • Development of customer tracking reports and exceptions reporting
    • Scope and deliver other data and analysis requirements emerging from the project requirements
    • Involvement as appropriate in other team activities to ensure that the project does not impact on other analytical requirements
    The successful applicant will receive investment in their personal development, primarily through direct engagement in a highly collaborative and strategically important initiative-   There is potential for this role to be based in London, Edinburgh or Bristol-


      Requirements

      Support the implementation of previously identified project objectives- This will involve:

      • collaboration with a network of project stakeholders;
      • data-mining advice, guidance and problem solving; and
      • Interrogation and analysis of large and complex mainframe datasets using SAS data analysis software-


        The Individual
        • Significant SAS software experience-   Familiarity with key bank systems (e-g- UKBMIS) will also be a distinct advantage-
        • Strong communication and inter-personal skills with an ability to influence at senior and middle management levels-
        • Demonstrated commitment to personal development-
        • A flexible approach to work with the ability to accept and champion change-

        Ability to work to tight deadlines and to prioritise a number of conflicting priorities-
