Background
In the UK, AXA occupies market leading positions in three of its main markets. These are life insurance, health insurance and general insurance. We are the second largest company in the Life and Health insurance (stock) market and the sixth largest company in Europe (Fortune Global 500 2007). We are now recruiting for a Risk Analyst to join our team in either Ipswich or Lytham. Travel may be required.
The role
You will support the Senior Risk Managers to implement and embed the operational risk management process as set out in the Group Operational Risk Framework within the AXA Insurance business units. This involves risk and control identification and assessment, developing action plans, monitoring and ensuring that all significant issues have an appropriate level of visibility at Executive and AXA UK Group level. You will play an important part in, fostering a risk based culture within the business and maintaining and developing the Risk Management Framework.
Key Accountabilities
You will collate and prepare risk-based data to underpin key risk indicators to support the management of risks and issues identified across the business You will manage the implementation of the AXA UK Escalation policy and process within AXA Insurance, ensuring all significant issues and related material actions have visibility at an Executive level You will assist with the completion of risk assessments completed by members of the Operational Risk team and undertake risk assessments as agreed with the team You will prepare regular and ad hoc business risk reports and workshop materials
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will come from a financial services environment, preferably gained from working within a large general insurer. Existing operational risk experience/ knowledge would be desirable. You will be a good communicator, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels. You will be confident in eliciting information from the business. You will have good time management and organisation skills, with a good attention to detail. You will be a committed team player, with the drive to continuing professional education and qualifications.
