| Job Description |
Job Purpose To provide project support to one or more projects at any one time for the business. To participate in the full range of project support activities ranging from answering general queries regarding the projects to proactively managing elements of the projects, eg: facilitation of meetings, regular meetings with work stream leaders etc. To support the Project Manager in a way that ensures that the project team is able to work productively to meet project objectives and delivery within budget to the agreed quality standards. Key Accountabilities Project Support - Assist the Project Manager in managing the project by taking responsibility for key elements within the project, eg: creation key Project Management documentation, cost tracking, change control etc.
- Assist the project manager in the setting up of the project plan and maintain the plan on an on-going basis.
- Assist with the facilitation and chairing of workshops and meetings
- Co-ordinate the production of project management deliverables.
- Assist in identifying and managing dependencies between key deliverables and projects.
- Assist in the management and maintenance of risk and issues logs and co-ordinating closely with the Project Manager in order to effectively manage these.
- Complete adhoc tasks relating to either the Project Office or project itself as required by the Project Manager or key stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management - Identify and manage stakeholders as appropriate ensuring that they receive the appropriate level of communications, data, updates, etc.
- Provide help, guidance and support to staff in the business in relation to projects methods.
Reporting - Produce project reports according to the reporting timetable agreed with key project stakeholders, the Project Manager and the Programme Office.
- Continually seek out ways to improve the quality and efficiency of the reporting to ensure that data communicated out from the project is easily understood and appropriate to the Business.
Governance - Set up and maintain the project governance structure including all logs appropriate to the project, eg: risks log, decisions log, etc.
- Ensure that all costs, including resource costs, are detailed for the project.
- Assist in Governance reviews and ensure that agreed processes are followed in their assigned projects.
Professional Development - Continually seek out relevant industry and technical knowledge and improve on professional skills by completing necessary development activities.

- Good user of standard software and tools that are used to support project delivery (Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, Powerpoint).
- Ability to draw up plans and estimates from basic information provided by Subject Matter Experts.
- Understanding of, and ability to, apply project management methodology.
- Ability to manage stakeholder relationships, project resources & budget.
- Sound planning, analytical and organisational skills.
- Effective communicator.
- Demonstrated commitment to AXA Life values and behaviours.
- Considerable experience in managing or leading professional staff and project teams.
- Relevant Financial Services experience advantageous
