Hiring Manager: Mark Dagworthy Closing Date: 2 weeks from date of advertisement
Job Description
Working within a team of controllers, reporting to team leader Mark Dagworthy, this candidate will primarily be responsible for supporting the Core Equity business, specifically Single Stock Trading & Execution Specific responsibilities will include: - Timely and accurate reporting of revenues
- Daily commentary using automated P&L attribution tool- This also includes liaison with Traders for daily sign-off
- Reconciliation and investigation of FOBO discrepancies
- Verification of prices, rates and parameters to independently mark allocated trading books
- Support and development of risk controls around trading activity
- Development of an understanding of the balance sheets for the relevant books
- Pursue ideas for the streamlining of processes; highlighting areas were efficiency gains may be possible
- Provide solutions to ad hoc queries from management, trading, marketing and other interested parties-
Requirements
Essential Experience: - ACA/ CIMA qualified or Msc Finance equivalent, Degree (2i or above) and good A-level results (or equivalent) including Maths-
- Knowledge and experience of how a Product Control function operates
- Excellent IT skills Access / Excel essential, VBA an advantage-
- Keen interest in Financial Markets
Supplementary Experience: - Prior experience in banking or a financial markets environment
- Knowledge of market data systems (Reuters/Bloomberg) useful
