Job Description

As part of our growth plans for 2011, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a top achieving Private Banker to join a highly motivated team within the International client group- Based in our offices in the Isle of Man , this position will appeal to candidates with a passion for developing strong relationships with High Net Worth individuals-



Job Description
  • Contribute to profit, sales and product targets of the Client Group by selling appropriate wealth management services to the portfolio of clients
  • Become the trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance across the full range of wealth management products, and a consistent, credible and accessible point of contact for clients
  • Increase the penetration of wealth management products within the existing and new client base
  • Expand the size and quality of Group client base through initiating new relationships, developing existing ones and developing relationships with centres of influence, to increase penetration of wealth management market
  • Provide specialist product knowledge to other team members when required
  • Ensure opportunities which fall outside the scope of the Client Group are captured by the most appropriate segment for the client's needs
  • Work with the Client Partner / Business Partner to ensure that their performance management information is accurately recorded and presented
  • Maintain high level of segment / industry knowledge and willingly share this knowledge with colleagues
  • Undertake appropriate ongoing professional development
  • In conjunction with other Private Bankers, ensure the most effective use of Client Relationship Associate (CRAs)
  • Manage the time and content of an aligned CRA on a day-to-day basis
  • Provide performance evaluations and reviews for reporting CRA
  • Identify and implement general, product and Client Group specific training for reporting CRA
  • Maintain and enhance RBS group contacts in new segmented role and ensure the continued flow of introductions which should be channelled to the appropriate Client Group
  • To act in accordance with the regulatory requirements and standards


    Responsibilities
    • Build profitable wealth management relationships with a portfolio of complex and / or high value clients
    • Maximise income from that portfolio by understanding clients' requirements and increasing the penetration of products to the customer base
    • Be a supportive member of the team
    • To monitor and control activity within a regulatory and compliant framework

     

    Please note that this is a customer-facing regulated role and therefore criminal record and credit checks will be undertaken as part of our screening process-   In addition the individual will be assessed as a key person by the Isle of Man Financial Supervision Commission-

     


      Experience, Qualifications or Knowledge
      • Ideally graduate calibre
      • Appropriate benchmark qualification
      • The following are Coutts preferred qualifications from the list of FSSC appropriate exams:
        • SII Certification (Securities & Derivates) or equivalent 
      • Broad knowledge of tax, banking, investment, or financial planning is essential
      • Sales / business development experience desirable
      • Significant experience in banking, financial services or professional firm
      • Track record of successful revenue generation, selling and closing deals
      • Track record of developing client relationships
