Job Description · Build profitable wealth management relationships with a portfolio of complex and / or high value clients · Maximise income from that portfolio by understanding clients' requirements and increasing the penetration of products to the customer base · Be a supportive member of the team · To monitor and control activity within a regulatory and compliant framework · To act in accordance with the regulatory requirements and standards under the Financial Services Authority (FSA) · To be fully aware of the obligations and responsibilities placed on individuals who are registered under the FSA's Approved Person regime, in respect of their role and conduct Responsibilities · Contribute to profit, sales and product targets of the Client Group by selling appropriate wealth management services to the portfolio of clients · Become the trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance across the full range of wealth management products, and a consistent, credible and accessible point of contact for clients · Increase the penetration of wealth management products within the existing and new client base · Expand the size and quality of Group client base through initiating new relationships, developing existing ones and developing relationships with centres of influence, to increase penetration of wealth management market · Ensure opportunities which fall outside the scope of the Client Group are captured by the most appropriate segment for the client's needs · Work with the Senior Manager to ensure that performance management information is accurately recorded and presented · Maintain high level of segment / industry knowledge and willingly share this knowledge with colleagues · In conjunction with other Private Bankers, ensure the most effective use of Private Banking Officers (PBOs) · Provide performance evaluations and reviews for reporting PBOs · Identify and implement general, product and Client Group specific training for reporting PBOs · Maintain and enhance RBS group contacts in new segmented role and ensure the continued flow of introductions which should be channelled to the appropriate Client Group Experience, Qualifications or Knowledge · Broad knowledge of tax, banking, investment, or financial planning is essential · Sales / business development experience desirable · 3 - 4 years experience in banking, financial services or professional firm · Track record of successful revenue generation, selling and closing deals · Track record of developing client relationships · Ideally graduate calibre · For those with existing professional qualifications, these should be in accordance with the FSSC list appropriate to the role (see Coutts UK T&C website) · The following are Coutts preferred qualifications from the list of FSSC appropriate exams: SII Certification (Investment Management ) Or Investment Management Certificate CeMap or Certificate in Mortgage Advice
