Job Description In this role, you will be facilitating unsurpassed client service by proactively supporting one or more Private Bankers (PBs), with a mindset where we always expect to exceed client expectations- Acting as a second point of contact for clients, building client relationships as appropriate, you will provide sales and marketing support to your aligned PB/s and work with colleagues in other parts of the Bank in order to assist your PB/s in meeting client service and performance targets- Key Accountabilities Client Contact - Act as second point of contact for clients, dealing with issues on behalf of the PB and covering during their absence
- Attend client meetings, as agreed with your PB, to assist with personal development and enhance the client experience- Meet the top clients in your PB's portfolio as least once per year
- Undertake a targeted number of proactive 'client service reviews', referring opportunities and issues identified to the PB
- Undertake proactive outbound calls/mailings in respect of sales and marketing activities
- Undertake 'care calls' in respect of complaints, as directed by your PB, in addition to overseeing the satisfactory resolution of complaints
Sales and Marketing - Identify new or improved sales and marketing opportunities via researching client, segment and/or industry information
- Maintain sales database of potential and existing clients by agreed definitions e-g- product and profession
- Proactively co-ordinate PB client visits/marketing trips, maximising the PB's schedule as well as contacting clients for formal reviews (investment and lending) in a timely manner
- Ensure the PB is fully prepared for meetings
- Handle leads from the New Business Unit, undertaking any necessary follow up activities and feeding back to the PB as appropriate
Workflow Processing - Ensure efficient co-ordination of workflow to ensure client satisfaction (including accurately inputting work instructions onto bank systems and managing email & work queues)
- Deal with any items in the PB's workflow, allocating as appropriate
- Prepare client letters, including complex correspondence and multi-product sale suitability letters, complex credit applications and client documentation analysis (e-g- financial statements) within agreed timescales
Training and Development - Undertake training and development in prescribed processes and activities
- Maintain your understanding and knowledge of the application of sales & marketing processes, relevant products, services, procedures and reporting requirements (both regulated and non-regulated), plus money laundering and compliance regulations
- Assist with on-the-job training as required
The Individual - Client service experience is essential, as is experience in a banking or financial services role
- Experience/acceptance of a sales targeted environment
- Ability to work on your own initiative and unsupervised
- Excellent communication skills, and able to deal confidently with demanding and complex clients
- Commitment to achieve appropriate benchmark qualifications within agreed timescales
