Based in our offices in Bristol ; we currently have an exciting opportunity for an Actuarial Pricing Manager to provide specialist actuarial experience to our market leading direct to market operation "Sun Life Direct".
The role
This position sits in an innovative and fast-moving commercial environment driven by direct marketing strategies and motivators rather than more traditional financial services models. You will have the great opportunity to work closely with our Finance, Product and Proposition and Marketing Development teams to work on new product and proposition developments as well as on strategic financial initiatives..
Your focus will be on the pricing of new products, re-pricing of existing products, business case development, validating assumptions used in pricing models and ensuring that your pricing reports are TAS compliant. Key to this role will be your ability to develop and mentor more junior staff as well as giving training and advice to the wider pricing and finance teams on new concepts and developments within this space. This role offers excellent career progression and the opportunity to build on your team development skills.
Skills, knowledge and behaviour
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate: - That they are Nearly / Qualified Actuary or experienced.
- Previous pricing and product development experience within a Life / Investment environment
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to build solid relationships with key customers.
- The ability to develop others and pass on knowledge to wider teams.
Candidate with experience of PROPHET would be highly beneficial.
