At Aviva we’re looking to recruit the right candidate to join our Pricing function. We are responsible for setting the prices for all our direct personal lines business. Your analysis will be used to influence the type of business we write and you will have the opportunity to be involved in exciting new projects working across the business. We want you to question the way things are done and will listen to your ideas. The successful candidates will be highly numerate and educated to degree level. We are looking for bright, ambitious individuals who are driven by results, eager to innovate and open to managing change. We’ll need you to be able to work independently and in cross functional teams as different aspects of the role require differing approaches. About The Role Salary depending on skills, experience and qualifications, up to £32,000 Benefits include: Annual performance related bonus and share award, company pension and 29 days holiday. You will be part of a small team using detailed information to provide financial analysis and pricing recommendations to a range of customers. This role may involve occasional travel. This role provides an excellent opportunity to acquire and develop a wide range of skills and knowledge. Key Responsibilities - To analyse pricing and other financial data and make recommendations to achieve plans.
- Calculation of sophisticated financial metrics using market leading models and software
- To provide information, analysis and recommendations to stakeholders
- To be a pricing point of contact for senior stakeholders
Experience Skills & Qualifications Essential - Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
- Adept at problem solving
- Experienced user of Microsoft Excel
- Well organised with good planning skills
Desirable - Experience of general insurance and/or pricing
- Strong communication skills
- Negotiation and influencing skills
- Actuarial knowledge/experience
- Database manipulation skills
