Job Description
The role holder will help develop Information Security Policy globally by setting and maintaining the Information Security related policies and standards in line with the Group Policy Framework- They will also be responsible for producing, reviewing and maintaining appropriate guidance in relation to the policy and standards within the group-
Requirements
Skills - Influencing at senior organisational levels
- Working with a broad range of business units across the RBS Group or other Global organisations
- Proven experience in driving change
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Ability to write clearly and concisely distilling technical issues in business terms
- Good understanding of ISO 27001/2 & ISF and other Information Security best practice approaches
- Experience of a Security and Risk function
- Good understanding and proven track record of working in Information Security and within a technology service provider within the Financial Services industry
- Relevant Information Security or technical qualifications
- Good IT knowledge and experience
Responsibilities
- Responsible for development, implementation and on-going maintenance of Information Security policy, standards and guidelines ensuring these remain fit for purpose at all times and set at an appropriate level against the Group risk appetite
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders at a senior level across Group and geographical boundaries to influence their compliance with the Information Security policies and guidelines
- Provide expert guidance to Information Security Specialists in relation to Information Security Policy
- Work with the regional Information Security Heads to deliver Information Security Policy that complies with regional regulatory requirements
- Provide expert input to senior or Executive briefings as required by the Senior Policy, Regulations & Assurance Manager
- Ensure all Policy documentation is completed within agreed timescales and to a high standard
