The department
Our mission:
A centre of expertise acknowledged globally by our peers as an exemplary regional hub, recognized by our customers for our partnership and strong customer focus and known by our employees for being a desirable working environment- Trade Operations NL is part of Operations NL and consists of four teams: Processing Team, Doc Tech Team, Client Services Team and Customer & Trade Advisory- The department is situated in Rotterdam and is responsible for handling Documentary Credits, Collections and Guarantees- These are instrument to ensure a safe import and export of goods or safe execution of services-
Approximately 90 to 95% of our transactions are processed in our off shore location in Chennai, India- The focus in Rotterdam lies in monitoring of the progress of transactions in Chennai- There is a close working relationship with our colleagues in Chennai- In Rotterdam only those transactions are picked up that for reasons as complexity, language other then english or customer sensitivity cannot be processed in Chennai- The main focus, however, is our excellent customer service-
Your role
As an Officer Trade Operations you organize and co-ordinate the daily workload of the Trade Operations Agents and gives support to the Agents in Rotterdam and to our colleagues in Chennai, India on complicated transactions-
You are constantly pro active to improve the workflow in Rotterdam and Chennai to consequently improve customers' satisfaction-
Your profile
- Knowledge business administration (MBO/HBO level)
- Knowledge of Documentary Credit, Collections, Guarantees and Cross border payments
- Knowledge on setting up processes and procedures
- Customer focussed
- Good communication skills
- Fluent in Dutch and English both written en verbal
- A team player
- Flexible (no 9 to 5 mentality)
- Willing to keep developing one self
- Pro active
- High stress tolerance
- Optimistic
- Precise, eye for detail
- Helicopter view
- Needs to have a certain authority
