Background A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Health Advisor based in Glasgow. Using your previous occupational health experience you will provide a proactive and evidence based occupational health service to clients. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week on a rota system between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday. The role In this role your duties will include: S creening pre employment questionnaires, a ccepting management referrals and proactivley manage individual cases, r efering employees for occupational physicians, physiotherapists or employee assistance programmes and p roviding advice on an individual basis on all aspects of health and its effects on work. You will also be involved in identifying individuals who would benefit from health promotion. We will need you to e nsure that all data entered is correct in accordance with NMC standards, you will need to l iaise with mangers and human resources to share infomation ensuring optimum care for clients and we will also need you to m aintain your current registration with the NMC. As part of this role you will manage your own case-load, undertake periodic reviews, and formulate priorities based on health needs analyses and contract requirements. Skills, knowledge and behaviour Qualifications/Education: Registered Nurse Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Occupational Health) Relevant First Degree Knowledge, Skills & Experience Post-registration experience Knowledge of occupational health and health and safety policy Knowledge and an understanding of local government settings Influencing skills Audit skills IT Skills - Word, Intranet, Internet Experience of managing own caseload Good communication skills Able to work independently Able to work to deadlines Team-player Self-motivated Adaptable Other: Current Driving Licence What will you get from this role? .
