Job Description
Background
Do you want to work for a global, market leading, well respected financial services organisation? We currently have an opportunity for a New Opportunities and Business Development Executive to join our award winning AXA Wealth division.

The Strategy & Business Development team is a newly created team within AXA Wealth and is focussed on the delivery of the strategic business plan, and identification, research and development of new business opportunities. The team has been created to drive the organisation to focus on and achieve its strategic ambitions.


    The role
    In this role you will focus on a number of areas including planning and opportunity management and proposition development and negotiations with customers and third parties. A key requirement of this role will be to ensure all opportunities are in line with the AXA Wealth strategy and deliver new revenue streams for the business unit.  

    You will be involved in identifying, researching, prioritising and developing opportunities within our target market this will including appropriate business case submissions and 3rd party relationship management and negotiations. Strong negotiation and influencing skills will be necessary as you will be managing a variety of internal and external stakeholders plus ensure that status reporting is in place and maintained.


      Skills, knowledge and behaviour
      • Strong knowledge of business and proposition development process methodology and some experience in client relationship management
      • Ability to pick up new ideas and information quickly and where necessary become a SME in new areas to the AXA Wealth business
      • Consultative approach
      • Business to Business experience gained ideally within the financial services sector
      • Knowledge of WRAP or Life and Pensions market preferred
      • Successful track record developing commercial propositions
      • Strong project and process management skills
      • Strong planning & organisational skills
      • Must be able to operate all levels within an organisation (internally/externally)
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Ability to influence work of others without direct authority / line management both internally and externally
      • Strong 3rd party and client relationship management skills
