Due to the review of the clinical services we offer our clients 3 new roles have now been created within our business - Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists. The 3 roles will vary slightly each specialising in a different area, either Triage, Case Management or ESP. Please state which role you are interested in with your application. Please note all 3 roles are desk based working from our office in Tunbridge Wells. This is an extremely exciting time to be joining AXA ICAS and with this being a new structure, department and service these roles are initially being offered as 12 month fixed term contracts. The role The role of a Musculoskeletal Phsyiotherapist is to clinically manage patients by providing triage, advice and case management in the Musculoskeletal Pathway. Responsibilities will include: - Screening and triage assessment - using standard tools and provided template, identifying appropriate clinical care options for the patients
- Collecting all data for measurement, reporting using provided forms
- Providing evidence based clinical advice to patients at various stages of their episode of care
- Carry out telephone based assessment of patients in line with CSP core standards of practice
- Remote Pyshiotherapy management - using evidence based practice and CSP core standards of practice, managing patients who have been identified as suitable for remote management to achieve rapid return to function and work
- Case Management - in line with CMSUK Standards, for patients who are at risk of poor outcome or seeking high cost intervention, plan and co-ordinate care for patients who are at risk of poor outcome or have complex needs
- Direct patients to specialist physiotherapy, consultants and diagnostics: using AXA PPP provider lists, evidence based clinical protocols, patient input and robust clinical reasoning, direct patients towards clinical and cost effective care provision that meets the patient's needs
Qualifications, skills & experience - Chartered Pyshiotherapist registered with HPC
- Previous work experience in orthopaedic out-patients setting (NHS or private practice)
- Experience and training around clinical management of MSDs
- Experience and training in phsiotherapy management of MSDs
- CPD portfolio - committment to developing clinical knowledge
- Previous case management experience
- Good working knowledge of MS Word and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills, including confidence on the telephone
You will be passionate about evidence based practice, with excellent clinical reasoning skills. Additional Information Core hours will be Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm although a degree of flexibility is required. - We offer a competitive basic salary
