Job Description
The Global Markets business is a portfolio of diverse and significant businesses-  The decision support team is largely aligned by business-  There is a crucial requirement to support the Markets DS team and the Exec at the markets level by helping to co-ordinate processes that impact the team, and delivering analysis for Markets as a whole-  This role will support this requirement and can draw on specific experience across the team- The role will sit within the Poland "extended" team and assist in supporting and improving the management information and delivery thereof to the head of the Markets business as well as other key clients- The candidate will be required to respond to ad hoc business requests for information and analysis on a day to day basis, leveraging the knowledge both within the whole M& TDS team and wider Trading BUC community in both Poland and London- The candidate will also be required to produce management information for Global Markets and its constituent businesses on a regular basis- Decision Support works closely with business management, GBM Financial Control and other central finance teams- It is integral to the delivery of finance to the business and the wider firm- The candidate will work closely with the Poland and London DS manage to provide analysis and support to key deliverables and initiatives- Responsibilities will vary, but over time, will include;
  • Daily, weekly and monthly MI reporting and analysis - covering revenue, costs, headcount, balance sheet and capital-
  • Daily revenue flash reporting and supporting commentary-
  • Assistance with forecasting, budgeting and building strategic plans-
  • Ad hoc project work/analysis as required, working collaboratively across Finance
  • Optimisation of the existing reporting processes-
  • Development of new reporting tools in line with business requirements


    Requirements
     
    • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA)
    • Expert knowledge of Excel
    • Sound knowledge of Access and SQL
    • Knowledge of IR, F/X derivative products
    • Strong analytical skills- The ability to understand relationships and interpret trends in financial data to develop management information-
    • Strong academic background - Accountancy, Finance & Banking Profile
    • Excellent knowledge of English, both written and verbal
    • Relationship building
    • Able to manage multiple tasks
    • Self motivated and goal driven
    • Comfortable with delivering to 'tight' deadlines
    • Possesses a "can do" attitude to the business
    • Possesses strong influencing skills & collaborative ethos
    • An ability to deliver through others
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to identify and solve problems-
