| Job Description |
Job Description Role Purpose To promote effective compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and RBS Group standards and policies in all Wealth UK businesses, having particular regard to the Lending Code- Key Accountabilities - To proactively keep abreast of changes in legislation and regulation, liaise with other divisions/external bodies, and advise the business of the compliance implications-
- To be responsible for ensuring that the Wealth UK FSA permissions remain relevant and up to date-
- Obtain and maintain the library of non-financial FSA waivers for all Wealth UK firms-
- To assist in the administration of the Wealth UK Upstream Risk Forum(s)-
- To provide regulatory input, as appropriate, in the setting of standards and policies, and promote best practice across Wealth businesses-
- To lead the production and monitoring of the Wealth Regulatory Risk Operational plan-
- To assume responsibility for maintaining a current and relevant Regulatory Risk manual-
- Where appropriate, provide training material to staff/management on regulatory related issues and porivde ongoing support and guidance to ensure they are made aware of changes to regulation that may impact on their business-
- Assisting as required with FSA, RBS Group Risk, RBS Group Internal Audit, external auditors and other regulatory bodies-
- To provide advice and guidance to the business on the FSA Approved Person regime-
- To provide advice and guidance to the Adam businesses at all levels on Lending Code issues and to manage the relationship for Adam & Company with the Lending Code Standards Board-
- To provide regulatory advice to specific projects and/or support others with more complex projects, as required-
- To be the Administrator for FSA Firms Online, TRS & GABRIEL repoprting systems for the Adam businesses-
Responsibilities Other significant role requirements: - Ability to influence/leverage relationships with Executive/Senior Management-
- Ability to assimilate complex regulatory policies/procedures and provide timely and pragmatic commercial solutions, recognising local cultural and business norms and practices-
- Role holder must have the ability to clearly and effectively identify and escalate issues to appropriate senior staff within the Group-
The Individual Professional Qualification Requirements : Ideally Securities Institute Diploma in Investment Compliance or similar, but not essential-
