ABOUT ROLE The Audit Manager has ownership of a portfolio of audit work in a designated area of the UKGI business and leads the delivery of this work from planning to reporting out stage. The Audit Manager also has responsibility for managing a number of stakeholder relationships in the business, typically at Director of and Head of level. Specifically, the role requires individuals to have: - A good understanding of risk management and assurance techniques
- Superior communication and stakeholder relationship management skills
- Good business and IT knowledge, with developing specialism in various business areas and core processes
- A good general understanding of the external environment and the impacts on Aviva business
- Working knowledge of best practice in project and change management
- Staff management and leadership skills in order to lead and successfully deliver individual audits
- Sound, high level planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work with and draw upon specialist expertise from locations across the Aviva Group
Grade: Manager (WW14) Salary: £36,000 - £45,000 plus car allowance
OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT Aviva Internal Audit is a global team of around 190 people. In the past 2 years the team has rapidly expanded and established itself as a core pillar of the governance model of the Aviva Group. We are recognised as a 'leading practice' audit team within the financial services industry in the UK. The department is truly international, with nearly 30 nationalities in the team and people based in all major locations of the Group. We are looking for candidates that combine commercial acumen with a good understanding of risk management and control. The work of the department is high profile and receives a lot of attention at a senior level. You will interact with senior stakeholders on a regular basis. To be successful you need to have superior communication and influencing skills.
