With your experience in financial services, considerable business knowledge of your business area and also an exceptional grounding in financial accounting, this would be an ideal position for anyone wishing to broaden their experience within such an arena. You will lead and motivate a team of 4 ledger reporting staff, covering multiple processes, including inter-company clearing, fixed assets and Santander Asset Management for the Retail Bank. Possessing people skills second to none you will stimulate a continuous improvement ethos within your area of responsibility. You will also be expected to ensure all processes, policies and reporting are fully compliant with internal and external processes. This will come in tandem with your strong influencing skills, so that you will be able to advise the business on best practice, and then relay it back to your team in order for them to take it on board moving forward.
Broad objectives are set by your Senior Manager, but you must be able to determine how to achieve them. So by using your extensive team leading experience you will organise resources in order to ensure the team meets its objectives and plan resources for the coming year and an on-gong basis. You will require an in-depth understanding of Walker and SAP Fixed Asset Register, and an accountancy qualification or it's equivalent is also necessary for this role.
NB. This is a 6mth FTC covering maternity leave.
