As part of our recently established Financial Accounting Division (Gesban UK Ltd), you will provide accounting and support for the Retail Bank and subsidiary company general ledgers. This role is focussed on intercompany accounting and regulatory reconciliations.
You'll complete intercompany reconciliations within specified deadlines on a monthly basis, ensuring compliance with the Financial Control Standard and proactively review, investigate and facilitate the clearance of all differences within each intercompany reconciliation.
You'll provide intercompany account reporting to subsidiary companies in line with monthly deadlines and facilitate the resolution of reconciliation issues that arise as well as providing a review and advisory service to business areas when difficulty in clearance of items becomes apparent. Be responsible for the maintenance of the Financial Control Standard for Bank Accounts including obtaining authority from the Group Financial Controller for opening and closing of accounts.
You will be fully ACCA/ACA qualified, however we may consider applications from candidate who are near completion. You'll need double entry book keeping experience and a proven track record of taking month-end and year-end cycles. You'll have excellent excel skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines with clear action plans to tackle outstanding issues. You'll have a proven track record of advising the business on best approaches and helping them to understand the constraints/risks and assisting the business in developing solutions. A good team player with the flexibility to work additional hours at month end will see you fit well into this work hard, play hard environment.
