Background To develop, service, maintain and deliver a Strategic Partner Plan with and through the Commercial Distribution Strategic Partner Team, optimising income and profit by identifying new opportunities in the market and building and enhancing relationships with key Strategic Partners. The role To manage and develop a panel of independent brokers in Scotland. Key Responsibilities Responsible for negotiating terms of the business agreement with the Strategic Partner Senior Management Team q Responsible for optimising income and profit from the Strategic Partner by understanding their business plans and taking appropriate action to capitalise on this q Solely responsible for preparation, design, implementation and review of an agreed partner strategic development plan q Plan, forecast and set the operational targets (including the budget and the financial model) with the Strategic Partner Senior Management Team to achieve the strategic development plan in conjunction q To review progress of initiatives against plan and take remedial action as appropriate q Understand in its entirety the nature of the Strategic Partner's business, its marketplace and the extent and potential of the relationship Measures q Documented and regularly reviewed strategic development plan q Delivery of agreed targets & protocols within stated timescales q GWP COR targets and Strategic Partner specific KPI targets met q Risks, identified, documented and actioned q Business is FSA compliant q Meet stated budgets within timescales and finance deadlines met q Customer satisfaction survey results are acceptable q Contracts in place. Documented sign off on schemes and facilities Skills, knowledge and behaviour Qualifications ACII qualification preferred (or working towards) Skills and Knowledge Thorough understanding of general insurance products, in particular personal lines business Good negotiation and influencing skills High performer Self motivated and desire to succeed Excellent interpersonal skills - able to promote the business Financial planning and monitoring of deals
