| Job Description |
Background We are currently looking for an experienced Investment Reporting Analyst to work in our London Offices in Old Broad Street. The role To lead the development and production of high quality reporting on investment & accounting returns and performance, ensuring that reports are complete, accurate, timely and meet the needs of key stakeholders Key Accountabilities - Lead the development, structure, production and delivery of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports that provide complete and accurate investment accounting and returns analysis as specified in the requirements of key stakeholders to agreed deadlines
- Complete in depth analysis and commentary on ad hoc investment reporting issues with limited supervision from the Head of Investment Reporting and Control
- To lead the process to collate and compile papers for quarterly Investment Committee and UK Board meetings, ensuring consistency between reports generated from different sources
- To lead the process, co-ordination, production and reporting of the Investment Strategic Plan and Forecast for all AXA UK companies, inclusive of all investment issues and departmental targets
- Drive improvements in reporting processes and change required to support new investment reporting requirements or deliverables to/from the business
- Manage and co-ordinate Investment reporting change and technical IFRS accounting advice required to support new investment initiatives within AXA UK Investment & Treasury
- Provide cover for the Head of Investment Reporting & Control in periods of absence
- Provide day to day support and cover for the Assistant Treasurer
Skills, knowledge and behaviour Education - A levels and university degree or equivalent with some mathematical or statistical content
- Post graduate with professional qualification in Finance e.g. accountancy or actuarial
Skills - Strong Excel skills
- Strongly developed analytical skills with experience of performing complex mathematical analysis on large data sets.
- Strong presentation skills, particularly ability to write concise reports
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong intellect with ability to understand complex issues quickly, grasp new concepts and ideas rapidly
- Good understanding of investment principles and knowledge of key investment instruments
- Ability to influence senior management and resolve issues independently
- The ability to think strategically and plan ahead
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- A team player
Experience - Post qualification experience in a financial reporting related role
- IFRS investment accounting experience
- Project management experience or planning complex tasks involving multiple stakeholders
- Investment management exposure highly desirable
