Background We have recently restructured the operating model of our UK business - resulting in a number of excellent Group-level opportunities within our Marketing organisation. One of these opportunities is a six month Internal Communication Manager FTC to cover maternity leave. The role You will work across the AXA UK Group and Operating Companies in a hands-on but strategic manner in a role that will drive best-practice and consistency of message across the UK whilst educating the business, from CEO downwards, in the delivery of key internal messages. It's a new start for the Internal Communication team at AXA UK so, in partnership with the Senior IC Manager, you will get to define the key relationships across the business - being creative about the various channels of communication to our colleagues from entry-level to UK Board members. You will also take responsibility for our UK communication channels ensuring they are delivered to a high quality and effectively target your audience. You will work closely with Internal Communication colleagues across the business as well as with the Group Branding and PR teams to ensure that messages are aligned. This also includes the Internal Communication set-up in AXA Group in Paris . It is a challenging opportunity with a lot of autonomy and responsibility - the biggest part of that challenge will be creating a message that considers all parts of the UK business, working in partnership with the communication teams in our operating companies. Skills, knowledge and behaviour We are open to a background that is agency or corporate focussed - but the key is that you have managed internal communications in a large, matrix-structured organisation - though this can be within any industry sector. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have a track record of strong delivery and making things happen in a complex environment. You'll also be used to working across a range of stakeholders at all levels. You have to be comfortable making decisions and challenging senior stakeholders - in essence you will be the subject-matter expert for some of the most senior people in the AXA business and you will provide advice on how, when, where and why internal communications take place. Excellent communication skills, through a variety of methods, are a pre-requisite as is the ability to think outside the box and to consider every stakeholder who may be impacted by a message - even if they aren't your target audience! You will have a naturally consultative style which will enable you to become the trusted advisor to all senior stakeholders and those teams and individuals across the UK operation who have responsibility for internal communications at any level. What will you get from this role? It's a high profile role with the opportunity to make a positive impression on how AXA communicates with its workforce - currently some 10,000+ people in the UK . You will also be managing key relationships with the Group-level equivalent in Paris and supporting the CEO and head office with exposure to senior stakeholders. This is a fixed-term contract for six months - but as we develop the UK business going forward this may open up other opportunities for the right individual. As a fixed-term contractor you are entitled to the following benefits: - 28 days leave (pro-rata'd) - Pension - Life cover of 4x basic salary - PMI
