Job Description
Background
An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen within the highly successful Intermediary Development Team for an Account Manager responsible for the development amd management of our Intermediary business in the Individual, SME and Corporate Market. This position will be in our Tunbridge Wells office, but will require travel throughout the South.


    The role
    In keeping with the business' growth objectives and Ambition 2012, this key role is aimed at supporting and enhancing AXAPPP healthcare's growth plans within the intermediary market.   You will have responsibility for a portfolio of intermediaries and to proactivley develop relationships between AXA PPP Healthcare and the Intermediary to create opportunities for both new business and the development of existing accounts. Regular face to face activity with intermediary and client portoflios will be required. You be set retention and new business targets applicable to intermediary overall portfolio and agree Intermediary account plans to continue to develop exisitng relationships and ensure regular updates are provided on AXA PPP Healthcare proposition developments.


      Skills, knowledge and behaviour
      The job holder will be required to have good relationship development skills, be commercially astute to identify, negotiate and establish profitable volume growth. You will also to be knowledgeable in both market and product knowledge (Private Medical Insurance - advantageous) in addition to possessing and utilising effective and successful sales skills, including account management, influencing, negotiation, presentation skills, territory management, etc.

      Excellent communication skills are essential, not only for interaction at all levels with intermediaries but also to manage internal requirements and relationships for mutual benefit.
