Security & Risk, Business Services, protects our business and our customers- We pro-actively identify and take action to reduce significant fraud and security risks affecting our customers and staff, providing a safe and secure environment in which to operate- In Security & Risk (S&R) several expert areas cooperate to provide integrated security services to our business partners- These areas include Information Security, Business Continuity, Fraud Prevention, Physical Security, Coordination & Intelligence and Investigations- Our S&R International team services our businesses in EMEA and Asia through our three main hubs in Amsterdam , Singapore and Hong Kong , and through several Regional Security Officers in the European and Asian footprint-
Your role
As an Information Security Specialist you will provide advisory and consultancy services to Bank's business divisions in order to improve the security control environment and minimise the risk and impact of information security threats and vulnerabilities- You will work under supervision of Information Security Manager to provide divisional and Technology Service Provider Information Security support- You will work closely with and influence key Senior Management across the EMEA region, whilst developing and maintaining relationships and providing Information Security advice and guidance in line with Information Security policy- You will need to understand regional regulatory requirements to support compliance across the region- You will be expected to perform risk assessments of internal and external Information Security threat environments, including applications, infrastructure and business units- You will understand, prioritise and assist with developing and implementing solutions for divisions to reduce and close Information Security gaps between risk appetite and current risk position- You will use their in-depth Information Security experience to understand and advise on identification and management of Information Security risks and mitigation in relation to technical infrastructure and applications- As an IS Specialist your activities will have an approximate time spent of:
* Business travel
* IS reviews and consultancy preparation
* Fieldwork
* Risk reporting & Monitoring
* Other activities
Your profile
- Minimum 6 years experience working within an information security or audit role
- Experience of influencing at senior organisational levels-
- Working within and understanding a broad range of Banking business units (IB, Asset Mgmt, Retail, GTS
etc-)
- Knowledge and experience of the legal and regulatory environments across locations in EMEA
- Experience in driving change across complex and geographical spread environments
- Excellent English communication skills - written and verbal
- Ability to write technical issues in business terms
- Proven ability to manage issues to closure across borders/territories-
- Strong EMEA orientation, prepared to travel regionally-
- Significant experience and proven track record of delivery within IS, IT Security or Audit departments within financial institutions-
- Knowledge in Information Security risk assessment and controls management, e-g- ISO27000
- Broad knowledge of the information technology area comprising development lifecycle, IT components and IT infrastructure
- Knowledge of IT management processes (ITIL, SDLC etc-)
- Relevant Platform knowledge (e-g- AS400, UNIX, Windows, databases, network infrastructure, payment systems)
- Skills in information security technology, including relevant information security management tools, logging & monitoring tools, cryptographic protocols and standards We would like to challenge every candidate with written test, assessing their technical knowledge- The test will consist of approx- 7-10 questions and should take up to 1 hour to complete- An assessment & enhanced screening can be part of the selection process-
