Job Description RBS is among the prominent and ever growing player in Equity business- Working in Equity technology Release and Deployment team gives an individual a unique opportunity to be a part of a team that is truly global in nature and work very closely with other release and deployment team members in London and Hongkong- Requirements · A proven track record of Release & Configuration management- · Experience of working with collaborative tools (SharePoint, Wiki's etc) that will enable cross-team interaction and knowledge sharing · Working knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Solaris operating systems , Fluent with Unix and Linux · Working experience in SVN, Perforce, Clear case and VSS- · Scripting - TCL, Perl or Shell scripts · SQL - Ability to write queries · Excellent communication skills, Focussed on delivering what needs to be done, Strong personal ownership and ability to set and meet high professional standards, Flexible and responsive work style, Ability to multi-task and work under pressure Additional Useful Skills: · Working knowledge on investment banking front office release and deployment would be an added advantage- Experience: · 3-5 years of release and configuration management experience- Minimum Academics: · A qualification from an Engineering College, MCA (honours/ 1st class) Responsibilities Key expectations out of the role are: · Support to QA teams, Release management, Environment Management Activities- · Follow the Release management guidelines and processes- · Collaborate with the product teams (Development, Support and testing) on the release schedule for deploying to QA and Production- · Interaction with other IT teams as appropriate- · Highlight and escalate risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies- · Supports test Environments (Windows\Unix\Linux) \ UAT setup for Testing teams · Responsibilities for Environment and Release management activities for QA teams · Maintenance and upkeep of QA Environments · Follow established procedure to examine development testing evidence before promotion to QA · Experience in standard configuration management techniques- · Support teams through flexible timings (0700 hours to 2300 hours) · Establish adequate quality control-
