Job Description As a result of the Group's Strategic Review, and the ruling of the European Commission in connection to the state aid received by RBS, a significant volume of divestment activity is being undertaken within the HR Divestment Programmes- This secondment offers a unique opportunity for an individual with strong consultancy skills to play a key part in these business transactions- This position provides excellent scope for someone seeking to develop their commercial awareness and work across geographies- The role will be responsible for supporting the HR Project Manager on divestments where appropriate, in the co-ordination and delivery of a variety of business sales- The successful applicant will take ownership for the delivery of all tasks connected to the successful transfer of acitivies to facilitate change of control- The role will involve the interaction with multiple stakeholders including, Senior Business Leaders, HR Heads, Bidder/Purchaser HR, Divestment Programme teams- Responsibilities - Oversee and deliver all necessary activities to facilitate change of control following deal agreement
- Management of day to day relationships with in Divestment Programme
- Submission of timely, accurate reporting for discussion at the HR PIB, Divestment Governance forums
- Preparation and support in delivery of consultation and communications materials
- Undertake activities relating to due diligence/data room processes as required
- Support HR in the development of detailed project plans which cover all bid to close deliverables
- Track and monitor progress and plans to ensure milestones are met and key stakeholders are kept up to date on progress
- Engage with/manage the HR deal team, ensuring input from HR COEs as required
The Individual - Strong interpersonal, communicating and influencing skills at all levels within the business and recognising that English is not the first language of many stakeholders
- Excellent understanding of project management and change management-
- BADS trained
- Experience of delivering complex projects using a mix of internal and external resources
- Experience of managing project teams across geographies
Other Significant Role Requirements: - Flexibility in recognition of the peaks and troughs in resource at points in the Divestment process
- Ability to work under significant pressure and to tight deadlines-
- Ability to effectively prioritise a large number of conflicting and frequently changing priorities
- Demonstrated project management skills
Technical Knowledge: - Project and programme management skills
- A pragmatic/practical ability to the management of emerging issues
- BADS trained
People Management: - Not responsible for direct line management, however the role requires Matrix co-ordination of project teams comprising internal and external resource-
Financial Management - Not responsible for a budget, however the role requires Prudent approach to cost management-
