Job Description Each year millions of people choose insurance cover from one of our brands: Direct Line, Churchill, Green Flag, privilege, NIG and Tracker- Collectively we are currently known as RBS Insurance, the UK's largest home and motor insurer, but it's the next step in our journey that's really getting our hearts racing- By the end of 2014 we will be a standalone business, separating from the wider RBS Group - with our own vision, our own identity and our own momentum- We really value our people, because they make us what we are- You'll work hard, and in return receive a highly competitive salary and an excellent flexible benefits package- With your help, we'll be 'Britain's Best General Insurer'- And as we progress and develop, we'll make sure you do too- As a Home Repair Network Consultant, you will be managing a network of approved builders, continuously improving supplier performance by ongoing monitoring, undertaking root cause analysis and delivering service improvements through effective supply chain management- Engaging effectively with operational areas of the business, understanding their issues and requirements to ensure effective use of the network- This is a home based role, covering a geographical region depending on your location- Package includes car allowance of £4,200 per annum- Requirements - Supply chain management experience (Supply Chain and/or Purchasing Qualifications desirable)
- Knowledge and understanding of the building/ construction industry
- Performance management experience
- Full UK driving licence
Responsibilities Strategic development · Enhance supplier performance through effective contribution and implementation of strategic plans and initiatives · To develop and maintain a high degree of awareness of the industry to support the delivery of a best in class supplier solution · To manage the reduction in indemnity spend achieving an Average Settled Claims Cost through the effective use of best practice supply chain tools and techniques · To understand the suppliers' cost structures and manage improvements based upon total cost outcomes for the business · To be able to mitigate the impact of severe weather events against the performance of this category ensuring effective plans are in place to support the business · To work across Claims and Loss Adjusters to ensure indemnity spend is optimised through appropriate use of suppliers Customer Experience · To deliver an agreed overall Customer Satisfaction Index through effective supplier chain management · To ensure complaints are minimised Risk & Compliance · Identify and manage risks and contingencies · Maintain designated suppliers within required compliance requirements Additional Website Text We're offering a highly competitive package of up to £37,000 which will be negotiable based on your experience- You'll also receive an additional 21% (of your basic salary) which you can contribute towards a wide selection of additional benefits or take as cash and you'll have access to great offers and discounts on a wide range of products and services- (When applying for the job please confirm your current salary and benefits)- You will also recieve a car allowance of £4,200 per annum-
