Job Description Accountability for the production and quality control of the Global Banking and Markets (GBM) Board Executive Committee (ExCo) Credit Report to the specification of the GBM Chief Credit Officer and the GBM Chief Risk Officer- The report is delivered by the GBM Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to the Executive Board of RBS as one element of risk reporting- From a stress testing perspective the individual needs to ensure that GBM Credit Risk implements a framework and reporting package that meets the demands of the regulator and Group Risk and evolves over time to best in class- Requirements Stress Testing Understand the regulatory and internal requirements for implementing stress testing in GBM Credit Risk- Facilitate the discussions between CPA and the credit officer/front office community- Work closely together with the Head of GBM Risk Capital Management and Group Risk to make sure that implementation plans with Credit Risk are fully aligned- Monitor the progress in implementing the credit risk stress testing framework- Work with The Deputy CCO to develop the framework further in particular in relation to it becoming fully integrated with the other risk disciplines and the impact on risk appetite setting- Contribute to the reporting efforts and make sure that we have transparent and high quality reports- Lead the efforts around ICAAP analysis and reporting, including d riving together with CPA the APS Forecasting efforts and co-ordinating closely with Finance- Be a member of the GBM Credit Risk Stress Testing Working Group- MI and Decision Support Accountable for delivery of the BOC report to the CCO in a timely manner and to a high standard- Accountable for discussing the report, including key trends and findings with the CCO- Responsible for analysing the GBM portfolio/risk profile to draw out and explain the rationale for major movements in counterparties and general key trends- Adding value through provision of credit insight onto data analysis and events relating to the market and specific counterparties in GBM's portfolio- Maintaining a relationship with appropriate areas within RBS Group (e-g- GBM Front Office, Group Strategy) to understand the impact of such external events on the GBM portfolio/risk profile- Working closely with and maintaining relationships with the Global CCO, his Business Manager, the Global CRO's office, Regional Chief Credit Officers and other Credit Officers- Maintaining strong relationships with teams and individuals on whom there is reliance for key inputs into the BOC report (e-g- RISR)- Responsibilities Stress Testing · Ensure that we comply with the regulatory and internal requirements- · Deliver in co-ordination with CPA high quality submissions to the GBM Credit Risk Stress Testing Committee in a timely fashion- · Deliver a framework that is best in class and connects stress testing with risk appetite setting- · Deliver APS Forecast submissions to high quality standards and timely- · Make sure that there is a common understanding around the stress testing framework in GBM- MI and Decision Support - Delivery of the BOC report to the CCO and Deputy CCO in a timely manner and to a high standard-
- Relating the latest macroeconomic developments and industry trends/events to the trends observed or expected in the GBM portfolio/risk profile-
- Delivery of other ad hoc analysis and investigations as required by the CCO or other members of the Central Credit Risk Management team-
