| Job Description |
Purpose of Role - Responsible for the overall service delivery and proposition for the Banking Delivery segment across the appropriate geographies (e-g- UK wide, globally)
- Driver and custodian of the end to end service offering to candidates and business stakeholders
- Recommend and lead resourcing strategy and agree/develop with business stakeholders, UK,E&I RLT, HR BPs, and their local teams, optimal operational strategies to ensure attraction, selection and delivery of best quality candidates
- Understand, highlight and manage all risks associated with delivering to the business demand plans including regulatory requirements
- Identify, lead and drive cost efficiencies across the recruitment process
- Responsible for all resourcing service delivery for their areas of responsibility liaising with regional contacts where required for local delivery
- Provide strategic input and deep technical knowledge to help shape future projects / programmes for Resourcing and lead programmes and associated implementation in own responsibility area
- Provide deep market intelligence to ensure processes and recruitment proposition is robust
- Manage implementation of resourcing policies and products with business contacts to ensure compliance whilst providing expert support and advice on all resourcing activity
Responsibilities - Set and ensure delivery of resourcing strategy and plans for Banking Delivery
- Set and deliver Resourcing strategy and plans for the segment
- Drive full implementation of the Banking delivery service offering
- Work with other Heads of Resourcing and business / HR contacts to identify all roles that should be managed within the segment and successfully 'bring them in'
- Identify and manage opportunity for collaboration and synergies between different divisions and segments e-g- use of suppliers, advertising etc-
- Develop and own the end-to-end process, agreeing and managing the interface between line managers, resourcing teams and HRSS including use of technology
- Influence and relationship manage internally to ensure maximum efficiency within the delivery function
- Develop and implement team structure to support all activities for the entire delivery remit
- Build and develop excellent working relationships with key stakeholders to develop a thorough understanding of business plans to identify resourcing requirements and represent resourcing within the Banking Delivery environment and business areas of accountability
- Provide high level consultancy in support of business change
- Agree and land resourcing related initiatives / programmes and projects within segment area
- Develop effective internal and external network of key contacts, identifying high performing comparator organisations, to create a detailed understanding of competitor practices
- Initiate, and lead where appropriate, resourcing projects across the RBS Group to implement innovative, leading edge practices e-g- technology, candidate experience etc-
- As part of the UK,E,&IRLT drive excellence across the wider team and determine / deliver employee proposition and associated culture as measured by internal focussed reports e-g- EOS, pulse surveys etc-, championing and reporting on activities
- Drive excellence in the wider Resourcing team external experience areas ensuring performance improvements as measured by HR Customer Survey (client experience), candidate insights etc- proactively supporting Strategic Themes activity
- Ongoing leadership, management and development of team, including coaching / encouraging their self development and identify / facilitate career progression and succession planning
- Drive the continuous improvement culture and proactively seek feedback to ensure a successful climate of CI exists, applying and undertaking Work-Out principles as appropriate
Deliverables: - Overall responsibility to deliver to substantial demand plans from business customers
- Overall resourcing strategy for segment and associated delivery and engagement
- In partnership with Divisional Heads of Resourcing provide recommendations for, and implementation of, optimal operating model to support future growth and flexibility
- Drive up delivery of service fulfilment to SLAs e-g- vacancy fill rates, within agreed parameters
- Develop infrastructure to enable delivery of correct number of suitable candidates within agreed timeframes through appropriate use of resources and skills
- Identification of business issues and trends that will impact on the segment and sharing of that knowledge
- Hold overview of demand and resourcing activity, for segment and the full divisional view to:
- Inform prioritisation debates
- Prevent duplication and maximise synergies
- Share best practice and manage knowledge
- Management of all resourcing risks and issues for segment
- Build strong sustainable relationships with key stakeholders

People Management: - People Management responsibility for up to 50 FTE approx-
- Team player as part of the UK,E&IRLT
- Coaching and development (direct and indirect line control)
- Indirect leadership and influence of programme resources including influence over the wider RBS HR network and delivery of projects through others
- Project management responsibility of assigned Resourcing Consultants, includes effective resource and performance management
Financial Management: - FTE Team budget of up to £5m
- External spend of up to £20m
- Supports the Head of Resourcing, UK,E&I for all Resourcing Budgets
- Responsibility for project budgets for Group driven projects
- Manage costs against agreed budgets demonstrating returns and value added against expenditure
- Ensure risk management considerations feature in all decision processes, dealing personally and effectively with crucial day to day decisions of significant impact
