This is an upper managerial role reporting into Head of Procurement for our Retail, Wealth & Ulster division at Royal Bank of Scotland- The Head of Marketing Procurement will form part of the Group-wide leadership team specifically focussing on the definition of innovative strategies and frameworks for marketing procurement, and leading and developing a small team of marketing procurement professionals- This role could be based in Edinburgh or London-
Deliverables
The Head of Marketing Procurement is responsible for managing Procurement Services relationship with Senior Management and Executives across the Group, particularly with both the Divisional and Regional Marketing Boards, for all sourcing requirements and oversee delivery of supplier management needs within that remit- You will also develop, maintain and deliver against an effective model for the management of marketing suppliers in conjunction with Vendor Management, Outsourcing and Supply Chain Risk teams within Procurement Services-
The Individual
It is essential that you have significant experience of Marketing Procurement and ideally will have previously lead a team of marketing procurement professionals- You will be looking after a significant spend of over £500m in this role, so it would be advantageous if you had previously looked after a similar size of spend- You should also have a proven track record in strategy development, project delivery and stakeholder management- Ideally CIPS qualified, it is also essential that you have a background in working in large scale complex businesses of a similar size and scale to RBS- You will also have strong interpersonal skills and significant experience of globally influencing and externally influencing at senior executive/Board level- With us, hard work adds up to more- We offer a range of career development opportunities across Procurement Services and the wider RBS Group, both in the UK and world wide- Our rewards include a generous salary, the opportunity to participate in bonus schemes and receive discounted Group products- Plus we offer up to 30% benefit funding that gives you the option of choosing your own mix of cash and benefits- All of which creates a truly flexible package that fits your changing needs and lifestyle-
